NAME
orbcomb - Determines templates from topological invariants of periodic
       orbits

SYNOPSIS
       orbcomb [-n maxnumbranch] [-i invfile] [-l printlevel] [-r timeout]
       [-v] [-c]

DESCRIPTION
The orbcomb command determines which templates can hold a set of unsta-
ble periodic orbits with given topological invariants. More precisely,
it finds the simplest templates (i.e., with a small number of branches)
that have a set of periodic orbits with exactly the same invariants as
those specified in the input file.

The orbcomb command reads these invariants from standard input or, if a
file name is specified with the -i option, from this file. It prints
results to standard output. Files of invariants must comply with the
       format described in _l_i_b_t_o_p(4).

When the -n option is used, orbcomb will restrict its search to tem-
plates with a number of branches less or equal to maxnumbranch.

If a template with n branches is found, orbcomb will stop as soon as
all combinations corresponding to n branches have been examined.

The -l option allows to control the amount of information printed on
standard output while running. Output will be performed only when one
of the first printlevel orbits of the configuration currently examined
changes. The default value of printlevel is 0.

The CPU time used by orbcomb can be limited with the -r option. After
the indicated number of seconds has elapsed, the program will stop no
matter in which state it is currently.

If the -c option is used, orbcomb will not accept templates which are
not "continuous", e.g., torsions of two adjacent branches differ by
more than one. This will usually force orbcomb to look for templates
       with more branches.

If the -v option is invoked, orbcomb prints version information on
       standard output and then exits.
